Finding Strength and Focus Through Islamic Teachings
Take a look at the Islamic Religion. In Islam, Muslims have been practicing the power of positive mindset since the beginning of time. How so you must be wondering? Well, if you delve into the practices of Islam, we can begin by acknowledging one of The Five Pillars of Islam is to pray you daily Salah (also known as Namaz). At the end of each prayer that is prescribed at five different times of day, it is encouraged to sit down and make a prayer for yourself, formally known as Dua. You can do this for as long or short as you like. Muslims begin their duas by praising their lord (Allah SWT), offering salutations upon the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), followed by whatever their heart desires.

It is important to note that all Muslims have one goal that brings them together. To be able to pass the test in this life, seek Allah’s forgiveness and to enter paradise untouched by the hellfire. These are words that are uttered across nations and that too globally. By militantly completing the five daily prayers, followed by a wholesome dua, Muslims regurgitate the same information for prolonged periods of time allowing no room for error when it comes to goal setting.
In Islam, there is also a nightly prayer formally known as Tahajjud. Unlike the five daily prayers, Tahajjud is not obligatory and is a prayer that you can take part in voluntarily. Believers who really yearn for their prayers to be accepted will go that extra mile to wake up and organize their thoughts to converse with their lord about their deepest wants in life. Allah descends to the lowest heaven to hear about his creations requests, making it more likely for them to be heard and answered.
In recent events, as we enter Q2 in 2025, Muslims have also observed Ramadan. This month naturally requires the best version of all believers to surface as rewards of a better afterlife are at its peak. In Ramadan, Muslims engage in The Night of Power, formally known as Laylat al-Qadr. Where all believers will make a conscious effort to increase the supplications of their lord and engage in great acts of kindness, charity and other Islamic activities.
As you can see there is a sequential pattern amongst the Islamic community. With stages of additional depths of devotion that lay outside the obligatory acts of worship. One must put in the work to go that extra mile, as it is not crowded there. Speaking your thoughts into existence allows you to say aloud what you want and need. Sooner or later your spoken words will become actions as you act on your thoughts. The power of affirmations is not to be reckoned with. We can take these learnings and apply these principles in our own lives for a more focused mindset in achieving our desired goals.
We hope these tips are handy and that you are able to eliminate brain-fog so that your own goals and desires and cultivate in your world!
