Over the past 15 years, Patrick McCarthy has worked in many areas of the music industry. After receiving a degree in classical guitar, he worked as an audio engineer and producer in New York City. During this time he also co-created and co-produced the documentary film Big Star: Nothing Can Hurt Me (Magnolia Pictures) about the now-legendary Memphian rock group. Patrick relocated to Los Angeles in 2009 and continued to work as an engineer, producer, and performing artist.

In 2010 he started working at Light In The Attic, a prominent archival record label, acting as the project manager for releases and producing many. In this role, he worked on close to 300 releases including albums by Willie Nelson, Digable Planets, Lee Hazlewood, and the soundtrack for the Oscar-award-winning documentary Searching for Sugar Man (2012). In 2015, Patrick was nominated for a Grammy for my work producing the Lee Hazlewood box set. Because of these experiences, he has a deep knowledge of music manufacturing having worked directly with dozens of pressing plants and print vendors globally. Since 2021 Patrick has worked at A to Z Media as the Director of Vinyl Production, North America where he focuses on the company’s portfolio of vendors in the United States and Canada.
