The Entrepreneur’s Source® is urging everyone to go all out in their pursuit of the American Dream.
National Go For Broke Day is celebrated annually on April 5 and marks a day on the calendar to double down on efforts to pursue Career Ownership, despite obstacles that may be in your path. As the economy continues to recover, and Americans see a light at the end of the tunnel, many are taking time to reevaluate their careers and find new paths to financial security. Americans are tired of suffering from Battered Career Syndrome®. Individuals who suffer from Battered Career Syndrome are exhausted from climbing the corporate ladder and feeling beaten down by working at a job that offers little to no job security and high employee turnover.
While the past year created challenges for many hard-working Americans, it also gave them a chance to find the work-life balance they craved. Teleworking allowed many people with corporate jobs to cut their commutes and add more hours to the day. One in four Americans said the pandemic led them to consider a job or career change, according to an online survey of 5,000 people by Morneau Shepell, a provider of human resources services.
Whether you were laid off, passed over for a promotion or are simply ready to make a career change, the Career Ownership Coaches at The Entrepreneur’s Source can help guide you on a path to self-sufficiency. Our coaches can help you discover your goals, find a new career path and achieve your dreams.
History of #GoForBrokeDay
“Go for Broke” is the motto of the Army’s 442nd Regimental Combat Team, a World War II unit made up of Americans with Japanese ancestry, according to the U.S. Department of Defense. The unit garnered numerous accolades on the battlefield, and more than 450 Japanese-American soldiers received the Congressional Medal of Freedom in 2011 to celebrate their heroic service. The soldiers were recognized for their courage, sacrifice, equality, humility and patriotism. The first medal of honor recipient, Pfc. Sadao Munemori, was killed in action near Seravezza, Italy, on April 5, 1945.

Franchising Offers Path to #Entrepreneurship
Franchise ownership allows individuals to become self-sufficient and be in business for themselves but not by themselves. Franchising can help entrepreneurs achieve financial freedom. Franchising provides owners with brand recognition and training to hit the ground running with their new business. A franchisee can also learn best practices from their peers in the system to help them succeed. Having a franchisor to provide support and guidance is an added bonus during challenging times. Industry experts predict historically high savings and low interest rates will help make 2021 a boom year for the franchise community.
